I’m constantly chasing new adventures in an attempt to escape reality. I love feeling alive and having no regrets and no space for hate in my heart, and I’m able to do that every time I view the world and appreciate all its beauty.
Sometimes we are so used to seeing everything around us we fail to slow down and we forget to appreciate and ground ourselves with the earth and nature.
I fear losing my ability to appreciate beauty the most..So I diligently try and go out on the weekends (my only spare time during the week) to visit some place beautiful and just absorb all the good vibes far away from “dramanila”. Between school, workload and responsibilities, not to mention the horrible traffic, its so easy to surrender to stress when you’re in the city, and as a native island girl myself, I just truly need my time off away from the concrete jungle.
Some say you travel in order to lose yourself, and I think it is so you can find yourself again.
Being bit by the travel bug has helped me discover a lot of things about myself and keep my sanity. It’s made me more appreciative and grateful for everything I have going on in my life right now, and its even birthed a new venture of mine, blogging! The very reason I launched this blog was to document my travelling and share it with the world. Funny how things fall into place, no?
Tagaytay City is one of the fastest getaways if you’re from Manila. I’m lucky to have a supportive boyfriend who shares my same passions (it took a little while though! He used to tease me when we first started dating because I took too many photos but now he takes my photos for me!). **sunnies from : @lily&jones
We attended his high school best friend’s wedding #theMontenegros and I was so happy to have witnessed the newly weds’ special day.
Everyone was so welcoming despite me being the youngest guest. I did however, match their drinking skills so I guess you can say fresh meat can drink like an old aged steak (haha kidding!)
Although the weekend was short I was still glad we went and the whole weekend’s vibe was about love, commitment, growth and acceptance. Its one weekend I definitely won’t forget and won’t mind revisiting again!
Always, Sandy
